Laser hair removal is an FDA-approved method of permanently reducing hair growth. This versatile treatment allows you to stop the endless cycle of shaving, waxing, or plucking the hairs. There are no razor bumps or ingrown hairs to worry about ever again.
The laser light passes harmlessly through the skin. It is absorbed by hair follicles and converted into heat, damaging it. This disrupts the hair’s ability to grow. The laser pulse is a fraction of a second, and each pass treats multiple hairs. Many people describe the sensation as being similar to the snap of a rubber band against the skin. Most people can tolerate the treatment well, without any kind of anesthesia or pain reliever. If you are sensitive to pain we can offer topical numbing medication.
This is a non-invasive, non-ablative procedure, so there is no recovery period or downtime. Treatment time depends on the size of the area being worked on, but usually lasts no more than 30 minutes. You will be back to your regular day in no time. Multiple treatments are necessary.
